Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. The music she grew up with was traditional and old boleros, and traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as opera and dramatic performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. The love she has for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and educator. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
